Parking is FREE for Merriweather Post Pavilion concertgoers. Merriweather operates over a dozen parking lots around downtown Columbia during events. There is no need to reserve (or purchase) parking in advance. Guests driving to Merriweather should proceed to the venue, following signage for the nearest available parking lot. Please follow the instructions of the parking attendants in each lot.
ADA parking spaces are located in Lots 2 and 4.
The map below may be helpful in locating the the parking lots around the venue. Please note, not every lot is open for every show. We utilize the lots closest to the venue first.

GENERAL DIRECTIONS TO MERRIWEATHER:
- FROM THE SOUTH: Take Route 29 North to Broken Land Parkway (exit 18) West toward Columbia Town Center. Follow signs, and park as directed.
- FROM THE NORTH: Take Route 29 South 175/ Little Patuxent Parkway (exit 20B) West toward Columbia Town Center. Follow signs, and park as directed.
TRAFFIC DETOUR: As of Tuesday July 7, 2026, the Eastbound Broken Land Parkway ramp to Southbound US-29 will be closed. If you need to access US-29 South after a concert, please use one of these routes:
1. Official Detour (Highway Route):
Head East on Broken Land Parkway; Take US-29 North; Exit at MD-175; Loop onto US-29 South.
2. The Steven’s Forest Road U-Turn (Quick Access):
Head East on Broken Land Parkway; Pass the US-29 ramps; Make a U-Turn at Steven’s Forest Road Traffic Signal; Take the Westbound ramp to US-29 South.
3. The Route 32 Bypass (Best for I-95):
Head East on Broken Land Parkway, proceed past the US-29 ramps and continue straight for ~2.5 miles; Exit on Route 32 East to reach I-95 (or Route 32 West for Clarksville).
4. The Columbia Mall Bypass:
Take Little Patuxent Parkway east around the Columbia Mall; Continue onto MD-175 (Rouse Parkway) following signs for US-29 or continue on MD-175 East for ~3 miles to I-95.
ADDITIONAL PARKING INFO:
- Parking lots will open 1 hour prior to gates, except not earlier than 5p on weekdays. Note that Lot 2 will never open prior to 6p on weekdays.
- ADA PARKING: Please proceed to Lot 2 or 4 and park as directed. Accessible parking is available on-site for vehicles bearing a valid Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) disability parking placard or license plate. Accessible parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The short walk from these lots is ADA accessible, however, a complimentary shuttle from Lot 2 to the venue’s entrances is available if needed (please let your parking attendant know).
